Timing is EVERYTHING.

   Absentee ballot mailing pieces should be designed and printed in advance and specifically for that purpose. Typically, cards are best.

   There are two parts to a successful absentee ballot request mailing strategy:

   The first part: after ascertaining the target date that the appropriate Supervisor(s) Of Elections will mail ballots to the voters, we acquire data from the SOE and prepare a mailing list of all voters who have requested absentee ballots up until a few days prior to the mail date and prepare a mailing to that universe on the same date via bar-coded, First-Class Presorted mail.  This insures that your mailing piece and the absentee ballot arrive together.

   The second part of the strategy involves obtaining data on a daily basis, as the new absentee ballot requests come in and immediately sending them out the same mailing piece mailed via regular First Class mail.
We call these the "daily's". The process involves traveling to the SOE every day with mailing pieces and First Class stamps, picking up the daily labels from the SOE and affixing them and a First Class stamp to the mailing pieces. They are then dropped into the mailbox at that facility so they may travel with the daily absentee ballot mailings from the SOE.  Once again insuring that your piece arrives the same day as the absentee ballot. The second part is usually performed by a campaign staffer although we can provide this service for you as well.

   There are additional and critical strategies for Military overseas, Civilian overseas, Military domestic and Foreign absentee ballot mailings that we can provide additional service and guidance for.

   Many elections have been won just by absentee ballots...more importantly more have been lost by failing to recognize the importance of the absentee ballot.
